Sharon Barnes

WEST ENFIELD – Sharon Rose (Solomon) Barnes, 45, died Oct. 19, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1966, in Lincoln, daughter of Randolph and Juanita (McNamara) Solomon.
Sharon always had a joke or wise remark for everyone. She wanted everyone to be happy. She was very active in LaBelle-Perkins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1605 Auxiliary, Burlington, where she served as president for two years. She loved helping veterans and was always there when they needed her.

In addition to her mother, Juanita Solomon and her friend, Mark Sanford, of Lincoln, she is survived by her significant other and best friend, Robert Sirois of West Enfield; two children, Robin Barnes of West Enfield and Michael Barnes of Haverhill, Mass.; a brother, Stanley Solomon of Bangor; a stepbrother, William Costigan Jr. of Winterport; an uncle, Gilbert Solomon; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends. In addition to her father, Randolph Solomon, she was predeceased by a daughter, Shantel Barnes.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at South Chester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, ME 04457 to help with funeral expenses.
