MOLUNKUS AND MILLINOCKET - Rosilla Mae (Butterfield) Bell passed away Dec 1, 2011 at her home in Millinocket, after a long illness. She has gone to be with her husband Wilfred Levi Bell and her daughter, Tina Marie Bell. She was born March 27, 1942 in Molunkus the daughter of Elsie (Russell) Butterfield and Albert Butterfield. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Adelia McLaughlin Russell and Delbert Russell, and Jessee Thompson Butterfield and Albert Butterfield as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece. She has been survived by a very special cat of 17 years, Muffins Marie.
She is also survived by three children, Wade L. Bell of Chadwicks, NY, Wendy L. Bell and her two daughters, Kharyn and Krystal Collins, of Scarborough and Melissa L. York, and her husband, Enoch "Joe" York and their children, Jonathan, Jason and Joshua Bell, of Millinocket; special cousins, Diane and Gary Jarveous, of Herman; two special aunts, Velma Russell and Lorraine Russell, of Lewiston; special friends, Francis Clark, of Lincoln and Jan Markie, of Millinocket; a brother, Bert Owen Butterfield, of Toms River, New Jersey; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rosilla worked a lot of hard years of her life at Forster's Manufacturing in Mattawamkeag for 27 years, until the mill closed. She then went to school to become a CNA and worked at Katahdin Nursing Home in Millinocket, for six years. Rosilla loved animals and working with people. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved everyone so very much. Rosilla enjoyed collecting bells, clowns, cats and teddy bears and cherished them all. Rosilla loved listening to music and going for rides in the fall to see the changing of the trees. She loved playing her favorite game, Rummy Cube with her special aunts and great friend. Rosilla will be sadly missed forever in our hearts by everyone who knew her.
Donations in her memory may be sent to her daughter, Melissa York, 146 Congress St, Millinocket, ME 04462. Melissa will distribute the donations per Rosilla's wishes. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
