Rebekah E. Gilman

MATTAWAMKEAG - Rebekah E. Gilman, 49, wife of Danny Gilman, passed away March 13, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1958, in Portland, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Holt) York. Rebekah enjoyed shopping and being with her family. She was a member of the Mattawamkeag Church of God.

In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by a son, Paul Ledbetter of Houlton; a daughter, Mariah Hotchkiss of North Carolina; four brothers, Mark, Jonathan, Matthew and Arthur York; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mattawamkeag Church of God, with the Rev. Mark W. York officiating. Spring interment will be in Mattawamkeag Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to help with funeral expenses.
