Norma Shorey

BURLINGTON - Norma (House) Shorey, 93, wife of the late Norman Shorey, passed away Feb. 3, 2010, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Lee, the daughter of Thomas and Elnora (Bunker) House. Norma lived for her family. She loved taking care of those she loved. She enjoyed eating out and traveling.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Dennis and Mary Shorey of St. Albans, Vt., Mike and Karen Shorey of Harrisburg, Pa., Keith and Veronica Shorey of Burlington, and Kelly and Don Cookson of Enfield. She has 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Norman, she was predeceased by a son, Leonard; two daughters, Sharon Quesada and Corace Bates; and a granddaughter, Tracy Shorey.

Friends may call 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Keith Shorey and the Rev. Tim Shaw officiating.
