Mildred Downs

MATTAWAMKEAG - Mildred L. Downs, 64, wife of the late Calvin H. Downs, passed away Sept. 21, 2010, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Lincoln, the daughter of Vernon and Lillian (Tait) Crocker.

Mildred was an avid homemaker, caring for her husband and children. She enjoyed going for rides and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by three daughters, Wendy Libbey and Ken of Hampden, Shannon Downs and David Washburn of Burlington and Kristol Potts and Jeremy of Japan; five grandchildren, Ashli Downs, Mikkala Libbey, Cameron Libbey, Dale Downs and Taylor Potts; three brothers and a sister, Searle Crocker of Lee, Dale Crocker of Bangor, Brenda Lewis of Orono and Rodney Crocker of Colorado; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Ginger Downs.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Jason Johnstone officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee.
