Marjorie Lane

LINCOLN - Marjorie A, Lane, 88, wife of the late Frank L. Lane, Sr., passed away July 17, 2011 at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born May 7, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of Vinal and Clara (Martin) Downs. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and cook.

She is survived by three children, Sherry Townslee, Nadia Brooke and Fred, and Frank L. Lane Jr. and Rose, all of Arizona; three siblings, Elwood Downs and Diana, Diane Clifford, and Dorothy Savage, all of Lincoln; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Peter Lane and a sister, Maxine Ware.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Colonial Healthcare Activities Fund, 36 Workman Terrace, Lincoln ME 04457. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
