Madeline Pete

LINCOLN – Madeline E. Pete, 85, died May 20, 2011, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born June 11, 1925, in Lincoln, the daughter of Alfred and Ruby (Brooks) Jipson. Madeline loved her flowers in the summer, sewing, baking fancy desserts and watching her favorite television shows.

She is survived by five children, Elwood Jr. and his wife, Barbara, Betty and her husband, Sylvester, Linda and her husband, Tom Sr., Rhonda and her husband, Fritz, and David; two sisters, Dora and Shirley; a brother, William; grandchildren, Phillip, Paul, Jason, Sandra, Tom Jr., Roxanne, Elwood III, Nicole and Noelle; and great-grandchildren, Cooper, Caleb, Casey, Hailey, Tom III, Lauren and Chad. In addition to her husband, Elwood Pete Sr., she was predeceased by a brother, Fred; and three sisters, Lillian, Jemima and Ruby.

At Madeline's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Health Care. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
