VANCEBORO - Kenneth Fraser Mason, 58, passed away peacefully Aug 13, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept 4, 1952, in Fredericton New Brunswick, the son of the late Ethel F. (Russell) Mason and E. Fraser Mason of St. Croix, New Brunswick. Kenneth had many jobs. He worked for Georgia Pacific; as a cop in South Berwick and Machias; as a security guard at the Baileyville Mill; and for many years, ran the family sporting camps "Lake View Camps" on Spednic Lake.
He will be deeply missed by his oldest daughter, Vicki, who had tried her best to care for him when he was home for the past ten years; also by Vicki's daughter, Teanna and Vicki's best friend, Bill Ayer; his only son, Sherman and his wife, Jill and their six girls, all of Vanceboro, especially Taylor and Cassidy who enjoyed making cookies with him; his youngest daughter, Cheyene and her boyfriend, Drew of Eliot Maine; his ex-wife, Judy Mason of Rochester, N H. He also leaves behind his cousins, who were like siblings to him, Alan and Gail Russell and their children, and Shirley Thornton and her significant other, Mike. Also his great aunts and uncles and his canine companions, Scooby and Diesel; and many more friends.
At his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vanceboro Methodist Church. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth.
