JEMIMA MAE JIPSON
BURLINGTON - Jemima Mae Jipson, 81, wife of George F. Jipson, passed away July 6, 2009, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born March 28, 1928, in Lincoln, the daughter of Alfred and Ruby (Brooks) Jipson. Jemima was a longtime member of Full Gospel Tabernacle. She retired from Smart's Hardware, having worked there for 31 years.

In addition to her husband, George, she is survived by three sons, Douglas Neal Jipson and his wife, Beverly, of Burlington, Ronald Lee Jipson and his wife, Roxanne, of Plum Grove, Texas, and Wallace Jay Jipson and his wife, Carol, of Lincoln; three sisters, Madeline Pete of Lincoln, Shirley Kelley of New Hampshire and Dora Curtis of Lincoln; a brother, William Jipson of Florida; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Jean Salazarescobar; a son, David Lee Jipson; a sister, Lillian Russo; and a brother, Frederick Jipson.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 14 Fleming St., Lincoln, with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to Full Gospel Tabernacle.
