Chester - Jason Myrick Ham, 73, husband of Sylvia (Chadwick) Ham, died January 30, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 9, 1938, in Springfield, the son of Christopher and Marguerite (Bishop) Ham. Jason was a real go-getter. He was a member of the Springfield Fire Department, loved the Red Sox and enjoyed going to car auctions for Access Auto. He also enjoyed making doughnuts for the Springfield Fair and liked to go "heater-hunting".

Jason leaves behind many friends. In addition to his wife, Sylvia, of Chester, he is survived by two sons, Chris Ham and his wife, Sandy, of Winn and Martin Ham and Sarah Brown, of Veazie; a sister, Marion Karstadt, of Phoenix; a daughter-in-law, Tina Ham; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Bryon Ham and a brother, Kerri Ham.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
