Janet Spencer

PASSADUMKEAG – Janet Grace (Moore) Spencer, 63, passed away Dec. 13, 2011, after a three-year battle with cancer, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Aug. 28, 1948, in Burlington, daughter of Lawrence and Daphine (Porter) Moore.
Janet was a devoted mother, loved raising her boys and never missed one of their sporting events. She was proud of graduating from the University of Maine with a degree in accounting. She loved working and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, Troy Spencer and Marriellen, Jason Spencer and Amanda, Scott Spencer and Michelle, and Brent Spencer and Jana; seven grandchildren, Libby, Damien, Thomas, Jonathan, Jarred, Natalie and Nathan; two brothers, Mel Moore and Chris Shirley; one sister, Josephine Lavigne; a special cousin, Jean; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Daphine Shirley and Lawrence Moore, she was predeceased by an infant son, Delbert.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held noon Sunday, Dec. 18, at Ammadamast Grange Hall, Enfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare of Maine, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
