Fred L. Grant Sr.

Prentiss - Fred L. Grant, Sr., 89, husband of the late Enola (Lothrop) Grant, died December 12, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born May 8, 1918, in Prentiss, the son of Fred and Birdie (Smith) Grant. He was veteran of the U S Army and a member of Forest Lodge AF & AM of Springfield.

He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Williams and Betha Andrews, both of Arizona and Loraine Gray, of Old Town; one sister, Grace Kenney, of Augusta; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Enola, he was predeceased by a son, Fred L. Grant, Jr.; two sisters, Laura Pelkey and Sula Thompson; a half-brother, Blake Grant.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Thompson Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory, may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln.
