Douglas P. Brown

HOWLAND– Douglas P. Brown, 63, died October 25, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Lincoln, December 10, 1943, the son of Gerald and Mary (McCloskey) Brown. Douglas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Intrepid. He loved working of old cars and boats, and going for rides.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Joyce (Belanger) Brown of Howland; three children, Sandra Jean Cousins and Norman of Milford, Daniel Anson Brown and Amanda of Burlington, and Karen Huston and Alton of Passadumkeag; six grandchildren, Meagan and Brittany Cousins, Miranda and Christine Brown, and Alex and Amanda Huston; a sister, Diane Cassio of Howland; a lifelong friend, George Mason.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 29, at the Maxfield Cemetery with Emma Jean Cook officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, ME 04457.
