Dale Whitehead

PASSADUMKEAG - Dale Hope (Porter) Whitehead, 66, went home to be with the Lord, December 24, 2011, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born May 4, 1945, in Lowell, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Drake) Porter. Hope enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to crochet, knit and do her genealogy.

She is survived by a daughter Lisa Davis and her husband, Howard, of Lincoln; a son, Roger Batchelder and his wife, Wendy, of Enfield; four grandchildren whom she loved very much, Brandon, Kane, Laura and her husband, Andrew, and Sandy; two brothers, Sam Porter and his wife, Polly, of Lowell and Lynn Porter and his wife, Penny, of Carmel; a sister, Dorothy Trueworthy, of Idaho; two aunts, Connie Drake and Dorothy Young; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Whitehead, Jr., and a very special friend, Clifton Chesley.

At Hope's request, there will be no services. Spring interment will be in Lowell Cemetery. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln.
