DAISY P. CURTIS
ENFIELD - Daisy P. Curtis, 88, wife of the late Tyler A. Curtis, died June 11, 2009, at a Howland health care facility. She was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Lowell, the daughter of John B. and Laura (Smith) Porter. Daisy was a cook and caretaker at the L P & P woods camp on South Branch Lake for several summers. Later in life, she cooked at local restaurants and nursing homes. She was a member of Enfield Elders, Escutarsis Grange, Eastern Star, Burlington Historical Society and a former member of Enfield Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, Mary Sage, Barbara Leveille, John Curtis and Kim, and Wally Curtis and Gina; a brother, Wayne S. Porter and Shirley; two sisters, Rhoda Dolley and Fern Cummings and Dean; eight grandchildren, Shannon Sage, Ryan Sage, Lisa Twombly, Louis Leveille, Joseph Leveille, Jessica Hellum, Tyler Curtis and Brad Curtis; eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a very close friend, Lucy Ludden. In addition to her husband, Tyler, she was predeceased by two brothers, Norman Porter and Donald Porter; and two sisters, Ethel Haskell Crowell and Bethel Treadwell.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Scott Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Enfield Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Cummings Healthcare Facility-Assisted Living. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
