LINCOLN - Anthony "Tony" P. Armelin, 80, passed away June 23, 2010, at a Bangor hospial after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Pen Argyl, Pa., the son of Anthony P and Theresa (Menacola) Armelin. Tony grew up in Pen Argyl, joining the Navy after high school. He lived in Mass. for forty two years, where he worked in quality control management. His passion for the woods/outdoors brought him to Maine early on in his life, making Lincoln his home in 1977. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a member of Star of Bethlehem Lodge, Wakefield, Mass, and the Bangor Singles Club.
He is survived by his son, Anthony P. Armelin, III of Malden, Mass, and his daughter, Rose (Batig) V. Warnock, her husband, George, and their three children, David, Andrew and Annalise and one great-grandchild, Lukas Venezia, all of Saugus, Mass; two sisters, Tina Lobb and her husband, Dean of Pen Argyl, Pa., and Marie Duvall and her husband, Jack of Bangor, Pa; Auntie Annie Maline, Uncle Cass, and Aunt Katherine, all of Bangor, Pa; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind loving friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., July 11, 2010, at the First Congregational Church of Lincoln, with the Rev. Linda Hatch officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
